HAN KYUNG ( HAN GENG )

Han Kyung (韩庚, born February 09, 1984) is the only Chinese member in the SM Entertainment boyband Super Junior. He was choosen through an SM Entertainment talent search held in China in 2001. He is known for his dancing skills (skillful in Chinese traditional dances from 56 minority nations, for example). He is an ethnic Nanai.

Han Kyung was discovered in 2001 at the H.O.T. CHINA Audition Casting 2001, where the competition rate was 3000 to 1. However, it was not until late 2003 or early 2004 when he arrived in Korea to receive private lessons in singing, dancing, and acting. It was not until a year later when he joined the other trainees in the company a year after that.
In February 6, Han Kyung officially debuted as a member of Super Junior. He is one of the few members of Super Junior who actively appears on variety shows despite problems with his Visa, which prevents him from appearing on certain programs. Many allegations have surfaced claiming that Han Kyung is of Chinese nationality but of Korean ethnicity. However, he claims to be full-blooded Chinese. Typical of the expectations of a Korean idol, he maintains a slim frame, standing approximately 6 feet and weighing about 66kg (145lbs).

He was featured in fellow SM Entertainment artist, Zhang Li Yin’s music video Timeless with fellow Super Junior member Choi Shi Won.

HEE CHUL ( kim hee chul )

Kim Heechul (Hangul: 김희철; Hanja: 金希澈; born July 10, 1983 in Gangwon-do, South Korea), also credited as simply Heechul (Hangul: 희철; Hanja: 希澈), is an MC, DJ, actor, and the second oldest member of K-pop boy band Super Junior. His nickname is Cinderella (신데렐라) and fans often refer to him as "Heenim" (희님). Likewise, Heechul calls his fans "Petals" (꽃잎).

Kim Heechul was first discovered through the Starlight Casting System 2002 and joined SM Entertainment soon afterwards. Before he officially debuted as a member of Super Junior, he was put into a group with Kang-In, Hero Jaejoong, and U-Know Yunho called Four Seasons as to represent the four seasons of the year. The prospective group never saw the light when the two members, Hero Jaejoong and U-Know Yunho, joined TVXQ which debuted a year later. However, Kim still maintains a close friendship with TVXQ

Kim Heechul debuted as an actor and made his first appearance on television, starring in the 2005 teen drama, Sharp 2. Soon afterwards Heechul gave frequent television appearances such as filming for commercials and television hosting. On November 6, 2005, Kim, who is also a trained singer, debuted with Super Junior on SBS's music program Popular Songs, performing the first single "TWINS (Knock Out)." He has since made contributions to lyrics in Super Junior songs. His first production, along with bandmates Shindong and Eunhyuk, was the rap lyrics to "Show Me Your Love," a joint single of Super Junior and TVXQ

Kim furthered his acting career after Super Junior's debut, having a lead role in MBC's youth sitcom Rainbow Romance with fellow bandmate Kim Kibum. He made his primetime debut in the SBS drama Bad Family. Heechul started his hosting career by being a regular MC for KM Show! Music Tank before his music debut. Soon after the debut of Super Junior he switched to hosting SBS Popular Songs. He has also been a DJ of his own radio show, SBS Power FM Youngstreet along with Park Heebon, but the program ended in mid-2006. Aside from acting, singing, and hosting, Kim is also an active participant in variety shows, making frequent appearances on Heroine 6, Vitamin, Sponge, X-man and Love Letter.

Kim suffered a major injury from a car accident that occurred on the night of August 10, 2006, when he was heading back to Seoul from Mokpo, where he went to attend fellow Super Junior member Donghae's father's funeral. The tires malfunctioned while his car attempted to switch lanes. From this accident, he fractured four to five places on his left leg including his femur, knee, and ankle which required a 6-hour surgery and sustained several other injuries including a tear to his tongue which required stitches. He was advised to stop all activities for a period of twelve weeks.[3] He was released from the hospital on September 13, 2006 and received outpatient care. He returned to the hospital to have a second surgery to remove some of the iron rods in his leg on October 10, 2006.

He returned to work briefly in late October to film the final three episodes of the MBC youth sitcom Rainbow Romance while still in a cast and in a wheelchair. It wasn't until late December when Heechul officially returned to individual activities such as variety show appearances and hosting appearances. In February 2007 he was able to perform on stage as a member of Super Junior's sub-unit Super Junior-T. He started performing with Super Junior as a whole (whose dance routines are more strenuous than those of Super Junior-T) in late April and early May. Five rods remain in his legs, which will require yet another surgery later on.

Cho Kyu-hyun's singing talents were discovered after he won third place at the Chin Chin Singing Competition in 2005. He soon signed under
SM Entertainment and was featured in the video remake of TVXQ's single "Hi Ya Ya" along with other Chin Chin idols.

Before Kyuhyun's addition to
Super Junior, the original twelve members in the group were said to be separating and "graduating" from the group as the band was still presented as a project group at the time, the concept being very similar with Japan's popular girl group, Morning Musume. Although Kyuhyun's addition to the group initially brought in disatisfaction within the group's fans who supported the original twelve members, his addition ended Super Junior's life as a project group and began its life as a fixed group.[1][2] Kyuhyun was quickly accepted and acknowledged by the fans as a part of Super Junior.

Kyuhyun's first media appearance was mysterious and not acknowledged. He made his first appearance as a part of Super Junior in the news on
May 23, 2006 when the group was introducing their comeback single, "U". Kyuhyun made his debut perforance on May 26, 2006 at SBS's I-Concert performing the new single "U", where it was also the group's first comeback performance as a permanent group.

In the early morning of
April 19, 2007, just one month before Kyuhyun's first anniversary in Super Junior, Kyuhyun, along with Super Junior members Leeteuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk, and two managers were all hospitalized due to a car accident when returning from a recording of the radio program Super Junior Kiss the Radio. The driver lost control of the vehicle as the van flipped over on its right side.[3]

Kyuhyun, who was sitting behind the driver's seat when the accident occurred, was the most injured and had a fractured hip,
pneumothorax from fractured ribs, and facial scratches/bruises.[4][5] He was slipping in and out of consciousness, and was mute because of the shock.[6][7] Kyuhyun had been in the ICU ever since the night of the accident, but after only six days he was moved to a regular hospital room, unexpected of his fast recovery.[8] Kyuhyun also did not need the respiratory machine anymore to support his breathing.[9] Kyuhyun was discharged on July 5, 2007 after 78 days.

With the announcements of Super Junior's second album release in September, it was announced that Kyuhyun would make this comeback along with the rest of the members. Kyuhyun gave his first comeback performance after the car accident in April on September 21, 2007, performing the new promo-single, "Don't Don." However, Kyuhyun is still recovering from the injuries and will be unable to participate in Super Junior's second album activities throughout the rest of the year.

Kyuhyun made his comeback variety show appearance on SBS's Star King with the other eleven members of Super Junior but with the absence of Kim Kibum on October 13, 2007. In the show he performed a duet, "A Whole New World", with the Filipina singer, Charice Pempengco, a rising star whose major talent was discovered through uploaded performances of her in Star King on YouTube.

In early 2000, Park Jung-su was scouted by a talent agent in Myeongdong.[citation needed] He was asked to audition for the Starlight Casting System 2000, which soon signed him into SM Entertainment that same year. Park made an extremely brief cameo appearance in the MBC Korean drama All About Eve in 2000 and was a also a model for Pepsi. He was then put into a five member boy band along with his future Super Junior bandmate, Lee Donghae by his talent agency before this idea was dropped. Some of the names for this group was OK, Pricor and Smile.[citation needed] After he was put in Super Junior, Park wanted a stage name similar to Kangta and thus chose the name Leeteuk, which means "special."

On November 6, 2005, Leeteuk as a part of Super Junior officially debuted on SBS's Popular Songs performing the group's first single "TWINS (Knock Out)." Being the oldest, Leeteuk was chosen to be the leader of Super Junior, leading and guiding the group in media interviews and schedules.

Since the debut of Super Junior, Leeteuk has been a regular MC for M.NET's M!Countdown along with Super Junior members Kang-In and Shindong. However, since late 2006, Eunhyuk replaced Kang-In's position. Along with Eunhyuk, Leeteuk is also the DJ for KBS's Super Junior Kiss the Radio since August 21, 2006.

Leeteuk became seriously injured in a car accident at the morning of April 19, 2007 when returning home after a recording of Super Junior Kiss the Radio. Along with Leeteuk, fellow members Shindong, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and two managers also became victims. Although Shindong and Eunhyuk suffered minor injuries, Leeteuk and Kyuhyun sustained more serious injuries, which required for the two be kept in the hospital for several more months. Leeteuk had glass shards embedded into his back and above his eyes and had a successful surgery of 170 stitches in removing most of them.[1][2] Leeteuk was discharged out of the hospital on April 30, 2007. However, Leeteuk may still need further surgeries to remove or minimize the scars. Kim is currently studying in Inha University under the Department of Drama and Cinema.

Kim Ryeo-wook was discovered through the CMB Youth ChinChin Festival Popular Reward 2004 and was signed under SM Entertainment soon afterwards. Trained in areas of singing, dancing, and acting, Kim Ryeo-wook placed particular efforts on his vocal training and music composition. Kim Ryeo-wook was the last to join Super Junior before Kyuhyun, and did not join the group until a few weeks before the group's official debut on November 2005. His late addition was rumored to be a replacement for a previous SM trainee that was said to debut in Super Junior.

On November 6, 2005, Ryeowook officially debuted on SBS's Inkigayo performing Super Junior's first single "TWINS (Knock Out)."

Ryeowook made his acting debut in the film, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, a high-school comedy/mystery film, where he plays the vice president of the student council. He was always getting shot by lightning by "president" Choi Siwon. Ryeowook's acting gained positive feedback from critics and was nominated Best Supporting Actor and Best Comedic Performance at the Korean Movie Awards.

Super Junior-K.R.Y is the first sub-unit from Super Junior formed in late 2006. The initials "K.R.Y" is from the formation of the first letter of the members' names: Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung. Being amongst the most vocally powerful members of Super Junior, K.R.Y are credit to singing mournful ballads, a style that has proven very popular in recent years although stagnation in the style's development is causing it to lose its once fresh evocative power.

K.R.Y's first official performance was on November 4, 2007 on KBS's Music Bank[1] and have been showing live performances only ever since[citation needed]. Unlike Super Junior's second sub-unit, Super Junior-T, K.R.Y has not released a single or album, and has only participated in collaboration albums and original soundtracks. Unlike Leeteuk and Kyuhyun, who were more seriously injured and were kept in the hospital for several months, Shindong and Eunhyuk suffered only minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital on April 23, 2007.
